Although Play-Based Learning may not always work for kids, it seems to apply to dogs, in the same way.
I like to play but, like kids, I don’t want to think that I am learning while I do it.
One day in particular, I learned lots.
1. I am JUST the right height to be able to see every surface in the house.
2. If I take a run for it I can get up on Tay’s bed by myself.
3. The “good toys” are on Tay’s bed …. apparently they are 20+ years old. Blah blah blah . Shouldn’t that make them LESS valuable …. they are OLD!
4. In this cat’s belly there are little plush fish and balls of yarn. I got one out (before mom caught me) but the rest were tricky. He wouldn’t even cough em up when I bit his nose!!

5. Paper towel is NOT for dogs. Hello … we are a Norwex household … I am trying to eliminate PT!! (You are welcome environment)

6. Luke doesn’t put his creams etc very far back on his bathroom counter … jackpot!!

Mom also learned some stuff too, through my play …
1. “Good toys” in the closet…on the shelf!!
2. Bathroom and bedroom doors SHUT!!
3. PT UP HIGH!!!!
4. Duct tape handy for the moments when she cannot directly supervise my “enquiring mind”. Not sure what she means by this!!
I just think it is good we are both learning something new every day. I am only a pup but she MAY fall into the Old Dog /New trick category.
