Let me help!

🐾

So, after my mom took some considerable time to CALM DOWN after one of my “play sessions”, she told me this is a story that will separate her friends into 2 groups: those who are kind hearted and sympathetic and those who are more like her – who laugh when they shouldn’t!!

Picture this. And I mean really try to VISUALIZE what I am sharing!

The only picture for this post is of a shoe. Why? you may ask. Because I LOOOOOVE that shoe. I am no longer allowed to be outside when mom is cutting the lawn because I jump in front of the lawnmower. And run circles around her.

Personally, I think she is over-reacting when she says that I could slip under the lawn mower and lose a leg.

Personally, I don’t know any dogs that that has happened to!

BUT…. I have gotten smart. *** I am starting to use my brains for EVIL!

NOW, before she puts me inside, she puts on these shoes and rakes and moves stuff around etc. to prep for cutting and trimming.

Today she did a “sweep” and found a poop she had to pick up.

Start visualizing NOW. 👀👀

She walked toward the poop💩 and I got EXCITED about her shoes!! I already mentioned, I LOVE THOSE SHOES! I got in between her legs and grabbed her by the ankle (she says my jaw is bone crushingly strong). 🦷

Then I proceeded to undo her left shoe. Apparently, the right thing to do is to ignore me and I will stop.

NOPE! I don’t subscribe to that school of thought.

But while trying to do “the right thing”, she leaned forward on her right foot, putting all of her weight on her gimpy ankle, since I was pulling her left shoelaces … while being ignored!! 😅😅

She shifted her weight forward to pick up a rather “loose” pile of poop at the EXACT moment I ran in the opposite direction with her shoelace. (Can you see it?) ** anyone picturing a wishbone???

The result … which occurred in a SPLIT second … I got her shoe and she lost her balance and landed safely on her forearm… IN THE POOP PILE!! 💩

As I was prancing around the yard throwing her shoe up in the air with glee, she was chasing me around the pool … SO. MUCH. FUN.

I guess the water from the hose where she sprayed off her smelly, squishy arm before sanitizing herself in the house cooled her off because I lived to tell the story!!!

I ❤ my mom!! (And I am pretty sure she loves me too).

I am just like you! A regular woman who went to work Monday to Friday, came home and did all that stuff that we all do - raised my kids, played with my dogs, worked around the house and spent time with my husband. Like most of us, I feel like I took that relationship for granted. I knew I was lucky but I didn't know HOW lucky - until January 26, 2021. The day that Rob passed away. As a way to work through this really crappy, unfair time, I thought I would start a blog. Not to whine and complain but to document those times AND the good ones! Because there ARE good times as well!
