Yes! You read correctly.
A leg HICKEY.
This is the first year, in fifteen years, that I have vacuumed the pool.
I am embarrassed to say it but I always left it to Rob – it was a job in which I was not even minimally interested!
At the beginning of this season, with the help of Youtube and my VERY patient neighbour, I learned how to vacuum the pool. Now that we are almost at the end of the pool season, I think that I can confidently say… I KNOW HOW TO VACUUM A POOL!
(Pause here while I pat myself on the back)
HOWEVER, today, there was a slight incident.
Because it was super hot outside, I thought it would be nice to vacuum the pool while wading through the cool blue water! That was great until…..
The hose, which was underwater, came off of the vacuum head with, I am imagining (given what happened next) quite a bit of force. It did not fly out of the pool as you might expect.
Instead, the still VERY “suction-y” hose attached itself, with a great deal of force, to my unsuspecting thigh!
Now you can visualize: me, in the pool, laughing but also uncomfortable, with a LONG blue vacuum hose attached to my thigh.
I had to literally pry it off underwater, which I think created additional pressure (back me up scientists) and it left me with….
A LEG HICKEY.
It’s about 3:00am and you just gave me fits of giggles that I had to stifle with my pillow so as not to wake anyone! Well done my friend!
